Chinese Fortune-telling

Chinese fortune-telling is also known as eight-character fortune-telling, which is to arrange a person's birth time into four pillars: year, month, day and hour. Each pillar contains one character for each heavenly stem and earthly branch, and the four pillars contain eight characters in total. This is used to infer a person's fortune (such as wealth, career, marriage, etc.). Eight-character fortune-telling is also known as eight-character calculating, or four-pillar prediction.

"Yin Yang" and "Five Elements" are the theoretical basis of Chinese fortune-telling, which is in the same vein as traditional Chinese medicine. For example, the Yellow Emperor's Canon of Internal Medicine has a lot of chapters discussing "Yin Yang", such as "Yin Yang Ying Xiang Da Lun", "Yin Yang Li He Lun", "Yin Yang Bie Lun", etc. Although the Yellow Emperor's Canon of Internal Medicine does not have a special chapter discussing the "Five Elements", its concepts such as "five internal organs", "five emotions", "five flavors", "five colors", and "five seasons" all belong to the scope of the "Five Elements".

The reason why fortune telling can be done is based on the principle of "the interaction between universe and man". The calendar seems to be a concept of time, but in fact it is more of a concept of space. The earth is in different positions in the universe at different times, and the earth itself is also rotating, so people can be impacted differently at different times. A senior fortune-teller once described the birth time like this: "The birth time is like a big seal, which is stamped on a person at the moment of birth", and we deeply agree with this statement.

Fate is affected by innate factors, but also by the living environment, if you you're located in an environment where water is flowing leisurely with white clouds in blue sky, you do not have any desires at all, but if you are located in the environment where gusty winds rise and the black clouds are driven away, you will fight for your survival. Fate is also influenced by the people in one's life, same birth time, but different family background or different friends, the situation will be different.

As Chinese fortune telling is not a rigorous scientific research, it only counts the innate part and does not take into account the living environment, and the fate itself is also affected by a variety of other factors, there are also some other uncertainties (such as inaccurate birth time of the tester, errors in our predicting model, etc.), therefore the results of the predictions on this site are for entertainment purpose only, and we do not take any responsibility for the accuracy of the results of the predictions.

Character Determines Destiny, Ba Zi Determines Character

From the perspective of Chinese fortune-telling, there is an unchanging iron law in the examination of human life: character determines destiny.
